Secondary school students from Slovakia and Hungary will get to know their countries, and learn to respect diversity in every sphere. The purpose of the project, that takes the form of student exchange visits, is to enable students to get to know each other's countries and their biodiversity, with a special focus on water and aquatic ecosystems
The first student exchange visit took place in November in Donovaly. During this exchange visit the students, among other activities, visited the Banská Štiavnica reservoirs, saw the remains of the mines water system in Špania Dolina, and in the Slatinka River Valley the action of water in the landscape was explained to them by members of the association with the same name. Another part of the programme was an educational block devoted to biodiversity, provided by the ŽIVICA Centre for Environmental and Ethical Education.
The next meeting is scheduled for April 2012 in Budapest.
