Veolia Water Biodiversity Club continues the environmental protection projects. Thus, Apa Nova Bucuresti together with its traditional partners - UNESCO Romania, UN Romania, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Administration (DDBRA) - held a new thematic event in June 2011: Stand Up for the World's „Lighthouse": Biodiversity!
Veolia Water aims to unite its resources to anticipate, as Jules Verne once did, the protection of biodiversity. This year, Jules Verne's book that inspired us is "The Lighthouse at the End of the World". For us, Biodiversity is the lighthouse that guides our work. More than 150 participants (Belgian, Bulgarian, Czech, Croatian, French, German, Greek, Serbian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Moldavian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Hungarian and Romanian) met at the Danube Delta in order to share their projects with us in order to protect biodiversity and the environment in the basin of Danube.
